Laurie has more than 25 years of accounting experience in both corporate and public accountant roles. In 1999, she leveraged her years as a corporate controller to transition to public accounting. Laurie has been with Vaive and Associates for more than a decade and oversees the majority of the firm’s owner-managed, small-business corporate year-end engagements. Through her experience and tenure, she has developed close working relationships with many of the firm’s clients and understands both their tax and accounting issues, as well as their overall goals.

Laurie has completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax programme and the GST/HST In-Depth Tax programme. She can assist with compliance and CRA audit support, as well as cross-border HST issues and HST issues associated with the purchase and sale of a business or real property

Outside of the office, Laurie spends much of her time doing CrossFit and planning her next Disney vacation.
